BSFHC's Access Health NYC Program provides outreach to uninsured, underserved, and out-of-care community members, with particular efforts made to outreach to immigrant and hard-to-reach populations, to educate them about available options for health care access and coverage. Our goal is to increase the number of community members receiving information and assistance to access insurance coverage and healthcare services.

The program delivers robust, engaging public education programs at dozens of sites throughout the community, to educate residents about healthcare and health insurance options they may not know about, such as NYC Health & Hospitals (HHC) facilities, Federally Qualified Health Centers, pre-certification for emergency Medicaid, Medicaid for Pregnant Women/Prenatal Care Assistance Program (PCAP), Family Planning Extension Program (FPEP), AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Our team links eligible individuals and families to opportunities for coverage and care; and directs those who aren't eligible for insurance programs because of their immigration status to low-cost, high-quality health care services at NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation and NYC's network of community health clinics.
